Decoration 101

Lesson number One:
Boots are not Hammers!!!

While over at my friend Deb SoRelle's place today I was asked to help with hanging drapery rods, and to rehang a picture.
Being myself I was all too ready to help!

Then came the hanging of said picture.....I asked for the hammer....out came a cowboy boot!!
Speechless is not the world for what I was.

BOOTS ARE NOT HAMMERS!! I yelled, and then bust out in laughter!!

As it turns out, they make very effective hammers. They have a larger surface area, and make it easier to hit those pesky nails!

You learn something new every day!
Happy Decorating!

Time for Events!

Starting off my week at NorthPark center:

Simon Doonan will be making a personal apperance at Barney's NorthPark to sign copies of his book - "Gay Men Don't Get Fat" from 5-7pm.

A great book here's the pre-face:
Simon Doonan knows that when it comes to style, the gays are the chosen people. A second anthropological truth comes to him midway through a turkey burger with no bun, at an otherwise hetero barbecue: Do the straight people have any idea how many calories are in the guacamole? In this hilarious discourse on and guide to the well-lived life, Doonan goes far beyond the secrets to eating like the French-he proves that gay men really are French women, from their delight in fashion, to their brilliant choices in accessories and décor, to their awe-inspiring ability to limit calorie intake. A Gucci-wearing Margaret Mead at heart, Doonan offers his own inimitable life experiences and uncanny insights into makes gay people driven to live every day feeling their best, and proves that they have just as much-and possibly better-wisdom, advice, and inspiration beyond the same old diet and exercise tips.

Sure to be a riot of laughs, this is a must read for anyone in fashion or even an inkling for fashion forward living!!

Afterwards i'll be headed to DISH for their 2 year anniversary celebration from 7-9 pm!

It's sure to be a fun evening full of fun and laughter!!
Hope to see you out!

New Year, New Do!

Just getting over the holiday slump and back to what I do best!!

As most of you can tell from my Facebook pictures, I've chopped off my luscious locks and moved to a shorter do!!

I felt it was time after nearly 5 years with the same haircut!

So let me know what you think!

But of course i'll still have my heels and couture on. Please, what do you take me for!?!
