Last Friday Night!!

Fashion Group International's "Night of Stars" Award Gala was the place to be November 18th!

Held at the Dallas Market Centers Grand Pavilion, it was a sold out event where all of Dallas' most fashionable were in attendance!
Teri Provencal and Maxine Trowbridge were the co-chairs and boy did they do a wonderful job!!

Honoring Shelly Musselman, a co-founder of boutique store 'Forty Five Ten', the night was spectacular with a fashion show produced by none other than Jan Strimple and featuring clothes from Shelly's personal collection.

I was loving the Nha Khanh blue dress I had on! It was on loan from my wonderful friend Mina Chang! I'm so lucky we wear the same size, as I was scrambling to find something to wear!! Of course she was even more stunning in her custom made red Nha Khanh gown and gold crystal strass Louboutins, but who would expect less from one of the fashion police of the night!
And that slit sure did turn heads!!

Big Rich Texas was there filming an episode for Season 2 and i'm sure you'll be seeing me when it comes out!!

The Fashion Police also included: Jarrod Fresquez, Cathy Terrell Williamson, Pamela Martin, Suraj Jagannathan, Susan Posnick, Scott Kehn, and Sarah Blacketer

The Lifetime Acheivement in Fashion went to Shelly Musselman.
Lifestyle Acheivement Award went to Alberto Lombardi.
Rising Star in Beauty went to D'Andra Simmons.
Rising Star in Fashion Design went to Shirin Askari.
And so many other awards!

Here's a few pics I snapped as Shelly's clothes went down the runway!!

It was a wonderful event and I can't wait till next year!!

Last weeks, Places to be!

I've been up and down and so busy!
Last week was jam packed with events and places to be. Here's a recap of what you might have missed last Thursday!!

Thursday had me running all over town!
The first stop was David Yurman at NorthPark Mall for an appearance by the man himself David Yurman!
Hosted by the Elan Circle of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra we honored and recognized Mr. Yurman for his contributions to the DSO.

Then on down to West Village where DEMERARA had their Grand Opening party with a fashion presentation, Espada tequila, hors d'oeuvres, and bling everywhere!! And this has to be one of the most adorable kids I have ever come across!!

And then to the Design District where Amanda Dunbar had a wonderful party with delicious cheeses, drinks, and art of course!! Her crystal covered instruments were my favorites! There was even a chello covered to look like Van Goghs "Starry Night".

After which we headed to the Foundation Room to celebrate the birthday of Jarrod Fresquez in style!
The place was packed with friends and family there to honor him, and was wonderfully done thanks to his girlfriend Nicole!

Tetia Stroud, LeeAnne Locken, Cynthia Smoot, and Jarrod Fresquez

Sierra Loren, Shannon Brower, Eric Oliver, and Nancy Lam

I did have another comedy event to go to, but by that time I was so tired it was not happening!
But I will give a shout out to comedian FLO! He performed at Service Bar off of Greenville, and I heard he was pretty good!

Interview with Sean Heiter from Robert Graham!!

Interview with Sean Heiter from Robert Graham!!

Sean Heiter, the National Sales Manager for Robert Graham, was kind enough to speak with me before the Robert Graham event at Neiman Marcus NorthPark Center.

"Which came first for you; your band The ColourSound or Robert Graham?"
"I've been playing music since the 4th grade, but Robert Graham definitely came first. Music has always been a hobby, and when I get to collaborate the two on certain events it's definitely a lot of fun. We don't get to do it often, but when we do, it's great. We usualy only play live half a dozen times a year, we're so busy and traveling for so many events. Robert Graham has me cookin' around the country 24/7!

"Would you say Fashion influences Music or vice versa!?"
"I definitely think Music influences Fashion. Depending on the style of music, whether it's influenced by the 60's,70's, etc. there's a certain sound people create and it drives them to how they want to look and appear. I think that's the oppostite of what most people would think, but I think form the musicians standpoint it's all creative in the music and it all comes out in what you want wear and put on. If I'm doing an acoustic show, jeans and t-shirt; if I'm doing a full out rock show, i'm going to be decked out!

"How do you think the Robert Graham women's line relates to Dallas women?"
"I think it's a home-run! Dallas women aren't like New York women, LA women, even, Minneapolis women. Women here are definitely friendly, and open to color. The average buyer for our mens line is around 45 and 40 for women. So she's more mature but still has a sophisticated sexiness about her, that's why I think it works for the Dallas lady.

For $198-$298 you kow you're getting quality shirts that will last you years to come!

Robert Graham is also partnered with Food & Wine Magazine to provide you with awesome refreshments at all of their events! Like Fiji water and wines from Flowers vineyard!
I had the Chardonay and it was amazing!

Make sure you catch a Robert Graham event in your town!!

Robert Graham & The ColourSound at the Joule!!

This past Friday night was jam packed with events to attend!!
Dallas Opera Opening Night, Dallas Ballet, Birthday Party's, and Fashion Shows!

And of course the Robert Graham Fashion show at the Joule hotel was a hot place to be!
I was so gracious to be one of a handful of people invited to attend the fashion show and see the beautiful clothes (and models)!

It was a beautiful setting at the pool deck of the Joule hotel and open Patron bar!

Sean Heiter (National Sales Manager) of Robert Graham opened the show and introduced some awesome fashions!!
Here's my favorite shots from the show!! And check out the rest on my Facebook page!!

And look for my interview with Sean coming in the next few days!!

The awesome Sean!

"A Red Carpet Affair'' with Carmen Marc Valvo!

What a night it was!!
Full of fashion and fun, Arlington Hall was filled with people ready to experience the designs and words of one great designer.
With champagne, wine, and hors d'oeuvre's a plenty it was a definite night to remember!

If you haven't got your hands on the book yet, it is a must read!!

The fashions shown were amazing cocktail and formal gowns that were simply stunning!!

My favorite though, was a beautiful double scoop neck cocktail dress completely covered in beading!!
It weighed a ton, but would definitely be worth it!!!

So we kicked of the fashion part with Carmen talking and answering questions, and explaining his design ideas, and how he became a designer in the first place!!

And here's my favorite!!
It comes in gold too!!

This stunning sapphire dress was oooed and aaahed over by the crowd!

I feel so special!! Im a muse!!!
(Kind of goes with my halloween costume this year ;-)
